Congratulations to Matthew Smyth – Golfer of the Year 2019

The Annual Presentation of Prizes took place on Friday Night, and we congratulate all the winners.

It was a particularly successful year for some members with Allan Kiernan capturing new fewer than 3 major trophies + a Hamper. He was crowned Champion of Champions, Gross Golfer of the year & teamed up with Ciaran Goodman in winning the Allshire Cup , and claimed the best gross in the hamper competitions. Allan also played  a leading role in taking our Senior Cup team through to the Leinster quarter final, having earlier  lead the qualifiers and come through the match play stages in the Dublin section, which included such noteworthy names as Portmarnock, Royal Dublin & the Island.

It was also a memorable year for 2 more members Matthew Smyth who won the coveted trophy of Golfer of the Year as well as winning the August medal and Andrew Dennis who won the Open Junior Scratch Cup, the July medal & a hamper.
